Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds

Foreign nationals already present in Canada may find themselves ineligible for permanent residency. Good thing that the Canadian Government allows them to apply on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. Often on a case-to-case basis, factors that might fall under this route include life-threatening situations if the government does not approve your request or its adverse effect on your children. Humanitarian or Compassionate Grounds can also include your history and general family ties to Canada.
